As we are a health-specialized class, we have asked our teachers about Hungarian health issues and made a conclusion.

The healthcare facilities in our country are organised in a logical way, but I'm not sure that this is the best solution. People who are under 18 have a free basic health insurance, but there are some treatments which you have to pay for. For adults it costs quite a lot of money to be insured ( 6700HUF/months), but if you have a job, your employer has to pay it  for you.

If you are ill, but you do not have an insurance, you have to pay for your treatment. If you have an accident, everything must be done to save you from immediate danger, but for further health care activites, they will ask, whether you can afford it. For children free basic insurance  is provided, no matter whether their parents are employed or not.

In our country, children have free access to health care. There are nurses in every school, and the kids are examined in each school year, its compulsory, and they have a yearly check at the dentist too. The vaccines that everybody must get are free of charge as well.

In my opinion, the biggest problem is that ornamentum does not give enough money for health care. The doctors trained at our universities are accepted anywhere in the world, but in our country, they are  rather poorly paid, so many of them go abroad to work there.
